Whole Person Cancer Care is a transformative approach that goes beyond treating cancer cells—it focuses on healing-oriented practices and environments (HOPE) that address the full spectrum of patient needs. This series builds on the foundational course Clinician as Healer and introduces practical strategies, tools, and real-world examples created through the Healing Works Foundation.

This series will provide up to 6 free nursing contact hours.
Participants will learn to ask not “what’s the matter?” but “what matters?”—shifting the focus to patient priorities, values, and holistic wellbeing. Each session features expert insights and stakeholder perspectives to help clinicians and care teams implement whole person care in their practice.
Course Objectives
By the end of this series, participants will be able to:
Describe the core elements and tools of Whole Person Cancer Care using the HOPE framework.
Identify strategies for building and educating interdisciplinary care teams.
Apply implementation techniques from real-world examples and collaborative experiences.
Engage patient stakeholders and utilize community resources effectively.
Recognize the importance of supporting clinicians in delivering whole person care.
Integrate healing-oriented practices into routine oncology care to improve patient outcomes.
