Treating Anxiety and Depression in Cancer Survivors with Jesse Fann

Cancer Survivorship Provider Network (CSPN) members will be joined on January 24, 2022 by guest speaker Dr. Jesse Fann, who will address treating anxiety and depression in cancer survivors. This member education meeting will be held from 12:30pm – 1:30pm PST.

Dr. Fann is Medical Director of Psychiatry and Psychology and Director of the Integrated Psychosocial Oncology Program at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. He is an Affiliate Investigator in Clinical Research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. 

Dr. Fann is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences’ Division of Population Health and Adjunct Professor in the Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Washington. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, his MD from Northwestern University, and his MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Washington. 

Dr. Fann’s research, which has been funded by NIH, PCORI, CDC, American Cancer Society and the Department of Education, focuses on developing cost-effective strategies to identify and manage behavioral and psychiatric issues in patients with cancer and other chronic medical conditions.
